With a variety of catfish, bass, pan fish and trout, Lake Burton holds abundant opportunities for fishing fanatics.
Specific species living in the lake include Largemouth, White, and Spotted Bass. We also have both Rainbow and Brown Trout in addition to several types of pan fish including Bluegill, Yellow perch, and Red-ear Sunfish. The lake also boasts Walleye and plenty of White Catfish. Lake Burton holds ONE state record for the Spotted Bass at 8 lbs 2 oz!
Here at LaPrade’s Marina we have all your live bait needs. We sell both green and traditional nightcrawlers for Bass, Trout, and Catfish. Red worms and mealworms work well for all species of pan fish. Crickets catch all varieties of trout as well as pan fish. In addition to live bait, we carry a wide selection of artificial bait including Reaction lures and Persuader bass baits. With premium fishing line and Okuma rods and reels, if you want to fish on or near Lake Burton, we’ve got you covered.
